I’m no Domestic Goddess, so after researching my family tree and volunteering at the local library, I ended up opening an Etsy Shop selling Printable Planners. Trust me, I’m way better on a laptop than a sewing machine!

But then, I hit the same brick walls as every other Etsy Seller.

How do you figure out exactly how much you’ve earned?  Where did you find your figures; and why did nothing add up properly…

PS: Wondering about the name - Made on the Common?

I guess the “Made” part is fairly obvious.

The “Common” is because I live on open Common land in the Cotswolds near Stroud. We have cows roaming free all summer (along with a few horses and a donkey called Alfie).

Pretty idyllic, until they come up and lick the windows.

Having spent years working in offices in the middle of various cities, the view from my window today is of long grass, buttercups, and trees.

And I love it.

It’s a quiet life that I share with my husband and our slightly mad black Labrador, Max.

I’m a classic introvert & can happily spend hours locked away working on my latest spreadsheet with just the radio for company, (especially if I’m catching up with The Archers !)

When I’m not sat at my desk tapping away on the laptop you can find me enjoying a blustery walk with Max around the Common or across the beaches in Cornwall.

Aah Cornwall, my 2nd favourite place in the world. Endless beaches and wild swimming.

But let’s save that for another day…..
